Terms of use

By accessing and using the Aptia website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms of use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or our services.

These terms apply to all visitors and users of the site.

Aptia offers AI literacy diagnostic, training, attestation and compliance documentation services. These services aim to make an organization's due-diligence effort measurable and demonstrable.

Aptia does not certify an organization's compliance and is no substitute for its legal obligations, internal policies or technical measures.

Some services require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract and, when acting on behalf of an organization, hold the authority required to bind it.

The AI literacy diagnostic is offered free of charge. Advanced features are available through paid plans (Solo, Team, Enterprise), whose terms and prices are described on our Pricing page.

The Team plan requires a minimum of 5 seats: a $25/month billing floor applies, and these seats are billed even if not all of them are used.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions are billed in advance, per cycle (monthly or as per the chosen plan), and renew automatically at each term until cancelled. Prices are stated in Canadian dollars, excluding applicable taxes.

Aptia may change its prices; any change applicable to an ongoing subscription will be communicated to you in advance and will take effect on the following billing cycle.

For any first paid subscription, you have a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of the initial payment to request cancellation and a full refund, with no need to provide a reason.

To exercise this right, contact us through our contact page before the deadline expires. The refund is issued to the original payment method within a reasonable time.

This 14-day withdrawal period does not apply to renewals of an already ongoing subscription, nor to custom services (Enterprise plan) already started at your express request.

Outside this 14-day window, all payments are final and non-refundable: no refund, full or prorated, is granted for renewals, for partially used billing periods, or after cancellation.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to the paid services until that date. No prorated refund is granted for a period already started, subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal set out above.

Aptia may suspend or terminate your access, with reasonable notice where circumstances permit, in the event of a breach of these terms, non-payment or misuse of the services.

Upon termination, access to paid features ceases. You may ask us to export your data within the limits provided by law and our privacy practices.

All content on this site, text, images, logos, trademarks, graphics and software, is the property of Aptia or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution or use of this content is prohibited without the prior written consent of Aptia.

You agree to use the site and services lawfully and not to infringe the rights of Aptia or third parties.

In particular, you may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, disrupt the operation of the site, or use the services for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

The site and services are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Aptia does not guarantee that the site will be error-free or available without interruption.

To the extent permitted by law, Aptia disclaims all liability for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or services.

The site may contain links to third-party sites. These links are provided for your convenience. Aptia has no control over those sites and disclaims any responsibility for their content or practices.

Aptia takes the protection of your personal information seriously, in accordance with Law 25 (Québec) and applicable laws. We limit collection to the data necessary to operate the site and our services.

Our site uses cookies. Essential cookies ensure the site works properly (navigation, preferences, security). Any other cookies, where applicable, are used to measure audience and improve your experience; they are only set with your consent.

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline these cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time by clearing your browser data, which will bring the consent banner back.

Aptia may amend these terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page. We encourage you to review it regularly. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this section.

These terms are governed by the laws in force in Québec and Canada. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or application shall be submitted to the competent courts of Québec.

If you have a complaint about the services or believe your rights have not been respected, write to us at support@aptia.ca with the subject line "Complaint". We acknowledge receipt within five (5) business days and aim to resolve the matter within thirty (30) days.

You agree to first contact us to seek an amicable resolution before initiating any proceedings. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is subject to the governing law and jurisdiction set out above. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under applicable consumer-protection law.
